Pyjama Party

Pyjama parties had a special appeal to the people with a more risqué mature. Ladies appeared in their most revealing nightdress and the men in all manner of styles under the guise of a pyjama.

TThroughout the early years of the Intercon party nights were a great favorite with the fun loving people who went to the disco-diner. The management spared no expense in putting on a great party. A Halloween party was held annually with the disco turned into a graveyard scene including coffin, smoke machine, flying bats, and special sound effects.

Lemonade was mixed with strawberry cordial to create “blood”effect. Records such as Monster mash added to the atmosphere. Twelve o'clock became the witching hour! Prizes were awarded to the persons wearing the most fearsome looking costume.

Hot pants The fashion world brought in a new style called hot pants. Cow girl and cow boys, funky chicken, Christmas in summer, fancy dress; (winners won a trip to Paris ) were just a few of the fun events.
